So far, So good

The first night in a hospital for me in over 38 years and it wasn’t too bad.

They are giving me so much fluid that the worst of it was frequent bathroom trips (try peeing in a jug–they have to monitor my “output”–at 3 in the morning). Oh, yea, and there was the woman down the hall moaning for help at 4a.m.

This morning I had an ultrasound of my heart which was really cool to watch.

Otherwise, not too much excitement here.

One step closer to lymphoma-free.

  1. Ugh, hospitals suck, there’s no way around it. Fortunately it’s a relatively short stay, right? Personally, I think you’re doing great, I would have had approximately 1000 screens of whiny posts by now. Hope to see you soon!

  2. Clearly Michael you are a rock star in how you’re approaching and handling your treatment. The real question is whether you’ll feign illness in order to get a sponge bath from your nurse (I heard she’s from Sweden and her name is Inga).

  3. Hmm… peeing in a jug is pretty annoying… have you had the clumsy (and ridiculously thorough) med student exam at 6AM with icy cold hands? I excel at that. Congratulations on your excellent attitude.
